High On Sugar - Thirty8, Grand Hyatt KL

For me, the best place to hangout with besties is a beautiful dessert place. With perfect ambiance and good quality desserts, everything seems to be so nice and cozy, chatting with your besties while enjoying the lovely desserts and a cup of coffee or tea.

I've heard of Thirty8 Grand Hyatt's signature cake and finally I get to try it out with a friend early January this year. Its really yummy and special. A dessert lover myself thinks that the cake was baked to perfection, served with raspberries and a scoop of thick and creamy banana ice cream.

Thirty8 Signature Cake (RM45)

We also ordered the small Variation Sushi Platter for our lunch. The sashimi is very fresh! Can be shared by 2 or 3 person.

I went again on end of February with two other friends to try their "High On Sugar" high tea buffet. Priced at RM103 nett per pax. Its a worthy experience to have such a luxury high tea buffet.

There are quite a lot of dessert choices available at the buffet counter. If you prefer to start with something savoury, you can go for their sandwiches or order from the menu where they have spring rolls, curry puffs, etc.

Sweet stuff :)

Macarons

Colourful candies to add more fun!

I highly recommend the chocolates! I super love the dark chocolate and milk chocolate. I wish my tummy can fill more of those. They were super fine and not too sweet. Definitely a superb quality chocolate.

Lastly, the beautiful Twin Tower view from Thirty8.

[YummyDessert] Kiwi Strawberry Popsicles

Bought the cute candy color popsicles maker from Ikea. Finally got the time to make use of it! Searched through Pinterest and found this super easy recipe for healthy and fruity popsicles.

You only need this!

I love Yoplait's Vanilla Yogurt. It just goes well with any fruits. I used this yogurt a lot in making overnight oats as well.

Ready to freeze it

To make 6 popsicles

Ingredients

2 strawberries, sliced
Half kiwi, sliced
Vanilla yogurt (can substitute with coconut juice)

Directions:

1. Place 1 tbsp of yogurt in each of the popsicles.
2. Add in sliced strawberries and kiwi. Pushed it down or you can just leave it. It is really up to you.
3. Fill up with more yogurt.
4. Freeze in refrigerator overnight.

Taste good and natural!

[YummyEats] Bros. Cafe (Korean Dessert Cafe), Seremban 2

Bros. Cafe
No. 297, Jalan S2 B13, Uptown Avenue, Seremban 2, 70300 Seremban, N. Sembilan
Open Mon - Sun, 11am to 11pm
012-6772081 or 012-9680208

I almost forgotten to share this post. I actually went for a Malacca food trip a couple of weeks ago and stopped by Seremban. A friend recommended this cafe quite some time ago and of course I've been wanting to go since I'm a dessert lover.

Bros. Cafe do serves coffee at the ground floor but I didn't try their coffee. Bingsoo (Korean shaved ice dessert) is served on the first floor and customer have to order from there.

Nak-Cha Bingsoo (RM20)
Just OK..
Rating: 3/5

I was having hard time in making decision on which one to order. They have several choices and finally I go for this green tea bingsoo. It was served with green tea ice cream, red bean paste-like topped with nuts and oats and some sweetener. I love the green tea ice cream. The red bean paste was too sweet for me though.

I guess RM20 is a little bit overpriced.

Some descriptions of the bingsoo available.

The menu is available over the counter where they put it in their ipad. :)

Homemade Mango Ice Cream

I have lots of mangoes at home last week and I don't know what to with it. After few days eating them, I decided to make some dessert using the mangoes.

While I was browsing some blogs, I found mango ice cream recipe. Ice cream is going to be awesome for such hot weather here. I adapted the recipe from tomatoblues.com and made some changes to the measurement.
