[YummyBakes] Banana Bread/Cake

Banana Bread

I remember hating banana cakes when I was young. I had headaches once I ate any banana cakes bought from stores. Until I tasted my mum's homebaked banana cakes with no artificial flavouring, I started to slowly accept it.

Most of the banana cakes bought from stores contain artificial banana flavouring, which makes me headache and dizzy sometimes. I still don't get it. Bananas are so easy to get yet they want to use artificial flavouring.

Chocolate Banana Muffins

Here's another recipe I've been wanting to share. I've been busy recently with the new job starting this week and was trying to adapt with the new environment. I baked this Chocolate Banana Muffins the day after I baked the Walnut Butter Cake

I got lots of bananas from the morning market at Taman Megah and the uncle sold to me in a very cheap price. FYI, if you want to get vegetables and fruits in a much cheaper price, you should visit the market at 10am because they start to reduce the price by that time. :)

Strawberry Banana Overnight Oats

Another delicious overnight oats made topped with lovely strawberries and banana. Finished up my strawberries from the fridge for this. I'm satisfied with how I made use of the strawberries.

The basic ingredients are the same as normal overnight oats with milk and yogurt, just the toppings are different.

Blueberry Banana Baked Oatmeal

I am really obsessed with oats since a couple of months back. I started making overnight oats everyday for my breakfast. Personally, I prefer rolled oats compare to quick cooking oats because I like to feel the texture of the oats. Quick cooking oats is too fine for that.

I tried to make this baked oatmeal on Saturday for my brunch since I don't really have time to go out for lunch. Easy, quick and healthy meal. This baked oatmeal is inspired from The Oatmeal Artist

Peanut Butter Banana Overnight Oats

First time making Peanut Butter Banana Overnight Oats. Peanut butter adds the kick to the flavour. You can feel the texture is a bit creamy because of the peanut butter in it.

For the peanut butter, I use Yogood PB with no sugar added.

Blueberry Banana Overnight Oats

Something quick and healthy for breakfast. I'm into overnight oats recently and this is one of my favourite.
Simple steps

For 1 serving.

Ingredients:

5 tbsp rolled oats
1 tsp chia seed
7 or 8 fresh blueberries
1 small banana
3 tsp yogurt (I use Yoplait mixed berries yogurt)
Approx 100ml milk

Directions:

1. Put the oats, chia seed, milk, yogurt and blueberries in a jar. (I didn't stir them)
2. Cover with lid and refrigerate overnight. (Approx. 8hrs)
3. Before serving, sliced the banana and mix in the oat.
