[YummyBakes] Matcha Souffle Cheesecake

Matche Souffle Cheesecake

It's a long weekend and therefore, baking is a must! Last week, I made Japanese Cotton Cheesecake for the first time. I love the result and wanted to bake similar cheesecake again. This week, I decided to make similar cotton cheesecake, also known as souffle cheese cake, but with matcha powder added into it.

Green tea is one of my favourite especially when comes to dessert. I love anything with green tea! Nana's Green Tea first opened in Mid Valley. I've been there once on weekdays and had the Matcha Shiratama Float alone. It was so good and I brought my bf on a Saturday after that and damn...the queue was so long and I decided not to wait.

Thankfully, now they are here in 1 Utama with bigger space and more tables. No queues during weekend as well.

Green Tea Chiffon Cake

I baked this Green Tea Chiffon Cake last Sunday. I find it quite difficult to get green tea powder around my area. I bought the green tea powder from Bake With Yen but it was packed in a small bottle and priced at RM5.80 per bottle. The green tea powder was quite strong and I actually used it to make Iced Green Tea Latte a couple of weeks back.

This time, my chiffon cake did not rise as much as I expected compare to the Orange Chiffon Cake that I made previously. Guess I need a few experiments more. Besides that, I also realised that extra sugar should be added because the green tea will cover up or took over the sweetness from the sugar. I should adjust the sugar amount from 100gm to 130gm next time.
