Its "Janice eats for free!" day at the newly open Mix & Match Western Buffet restaurant on 4th and 5th January. I decided to give it a try after reading good reviews on their Facebook page. The buffet is priced at a reasonable RM55 nett per pax.  

I can see that they put quite a lot of effort in decorating the restaurant nicely! I love those little deco displayed on the table top and on the wall. Tables and chairs are neatly arranged and not too narrow to walk around.

The soup and appetizer section is located at the front near the entrance. This is where you can find their superb mushroom soup! It was indeed yummy! Wish I have a bigger tummy to fill few more bowls of the mushroom soup! :P 

 I also love their shark fin soup. They also serve spring rolls, special fried wanton, pandan chicken, satay and garden salad at the appetizer station. There are also varieties of sauces available. 

There's one whole row of western and few asian food on each and every buffet tray here. You will not left disappointed as every of them there's something in it. There were pork and chicken sausages, pork knuckles, pork ribs, chicken rolls, chicken wings, black pepper spaghetti, clams, assorted vegetables, butter prawns and few others more. 

There's also another section that serves curry pork, braised duck, vegetables, and few others, served in hot "periuk". Please be caution when you open up the cover as some was quite hot. 

There is also selection of main course available which you can order as many times as you want. The portion of each main course served is small and that is good because you can order more and try different ones. I liked the lamb shoulder with spicy mint sauce a lot. The sauce is super flavourful. I also ordered the grilled salmon fish with mushroom sauce. The salmon is fresh and cooked perfectly.

They serve hot and cold drinks on the beverages station. There is also juice station where you can request for fresh juices as many times as you want! Drinking fruit juices makes me less guilty on a buffet dinner. 

The desserts served was pretty limited. A dessert person like me puts high expectation on desserts on every buffet I go. So, I skip the tarts and cakes and go for the ice cream instead. :)

Overall, the buffet was good and am happy with the food selections. The service is satisfactory as well. Recommended if you love western food.
